Food Drive begins

Starting next Tuesday, November 26th, there will be a food drive initiative in “A” block at GFSS. Non-perishable items and cash donations are welcome. To generate excitement towards this fundraiser, students will earn house team points and the opportunity to enjoy a yummy pre-Christmas treat! The collection end-date is December 13th. The Boundary Food Bank is an important service in our community-let’s support it as best we can!

Here are some ideas for non-perishable items that are always in need:

• canned or dried beans and legumes condiments bulk rice*
• canned tomatoes milk (evaporated or powdered) bulk flour*
• canned fruit and veggies pancake mix bulk sugar*
• canned meat (salmon,
• chicken, ham etc) jam, syrup, honey bulk oats*
• canned or packaged soups cereal (hot or cold)
• canned pasta sauce pasta
• juice cake mix
• condiments
• milk (evaporated or powdered)

**These items can be donated in bulk and will be repackaged at the Food Bank.

Also gratefully appreciated are donations of pet food, feminine hygiene products, toilet paper, and other personal hygiene items.
