As an inclusive public school, we believe parents are partners in the success of our students. We are always interested in how we can work with families to improve life-chances for our students. Some of the actions we take are:
- Website, Principal’s Reports, Newsletters
- Social Media: Facebook, Instagram
- Informal Updates and Family Conferences
- Written Learning Updates and Summary of Learning
- PAC presentations and reports
- Celebration of Learning
- Student Learning Survey
- GFSS: Beliefs about of Education Survey (families)
- Parents’ working groups
- Indigenous Education Enhancement
- Extra-curricular clubs and athletics
Family conferences
We invite parents and guardians to book online appointments with your child’s teachers for a face-to-face (or telephone) informal update. Learn how things are going and share ideas you and teachers have for further growth. Notice of appointment windows are emailed to all GFSS families two weeks in advance of the conferences. Click here for full instructions or condensed instructions how to register for an appointment.
