Dear Students and Families,
It has been another great week at GFSS and students and staff are now launched into a year of powerful learning. There is excitement in the air as we all begin to get down to work on our first personalized projects, learning activities while still finding the energy to join an Extra-curricular Activity (ECA). There is so much potential.
Club Day was a real highlight to our week. It was so encouraging to see hundreds of students registering to join clubs and sports and other activities. I am grateful to our wonderful staff for coming out in force and sharing your positive gifts and talents with our students. Please check the latest ECA directory for the who, what, where, and when for all our sports and clubs.
~Tom Eccleston, Principal GFSS
A couple of reminders:
- The GFSS Parent Advisory Council (PAC) is meeting on Monday, 6:00 in the Bistro. Come and learn about how to grow your involvement in our school.
- For student safety, there should be no parent cars nor bicycle traffic through the central bus lane. Drop-off and pick-up must happen in the east or west parking areas.
- We are launching “Toonie for Terry” this month to raise awareness and funds for cancer research. The Outdoor Education students will be sharing the campaign with block A classes. If you are able, please save up a Toonie or some spare change
