Dear students and families,

The great weather outside was matched the great fun inside GFSS this week. Who will ever forget the smiles and joy during our school’s Rock, Paper, Scissors Championship. With last Friday’s special pancake breakfast for all students, we are so grateful to all the folks involved in bringing these events about. All of us at GFSS hope to keep building a positive school culture next week and beyond.

This coming week, all families have a tremendous opportunity to connect with our educators face-to-face. There is nothing like having direct contact to strengthen our relationships with each other. Students benefit when we communicate. We heartily welcome families to join us on Wednesday and book an informal family conference with our teachers. Please see Michelle’s email from Friday for details and reply to gfss@sd51.bc.ca to book your learning update.

Lastly, we welcome a new staff member, Jamie, joining our team of Education Assistants and we welcome teacher-candidate Emma-June from UVic.

Limlimpt (means thank you in Nsyilxcən, — Okanagan First Peoples Language)
