Dear students and families,

What are you thankful for? At GFSS, we are grateful to work with families to build a safe and caring country. We are grateful to plan for and to spend our energy nurturing diverse young people and make a positive impact in our community. We are grateful and say ‘thank you’ for your efforts to engage informally with our teachers this past week. We hope you have been able to make a personal connection with our teachers and were able to set goals and positive plans for success. Please email your child’s teachers if you have any ongoing questions and concerns; we are always happy to help.

The staff at GFSS hope this weekend fills your cup (with gratitude) as we return on Tuesday ready to launch another critical week of learning. Additionally, we have the whole school Student Vote event to look forward to along with all our exciting clubs and sports.

Limlimpt (means thank you in Nsyilxcən, — Okanagan First Peoples Language)

A few reminders:

  • If you haven’t paid the student council fee ($20), please do so at the office. It helps pay for all the whole school spirit events at school like the upcoming spooktacular (pumpkin carving, decorations, prizes, etc).
  • Students, please leave your phone in your locker so you can concentrate on learning while in class.
