Dear students and families,

Now that the Arts Gala is over, the band has played its last chord, and the final curtain has come down on our drama production, we say goodbye to 2024 and appreciate the awesome year we’ve had together. It has been an absolute joy to be at GFSS with you and all the super sports, compelling clubs, astounding arts, terrific trades, spectacular science, marvelous math, and scintillating stories from literature, history, and from around the world.

I’d like take moment to thank our Global Citizenship club and our GFSS community for your donations of more than $500 in cash (combined with bake sale) and 263 pounds of food for the Boundary Food Bank.

One day that will always stay with me was just last Monday. I’ll never forget the smiles of joy I saw on all the surprised students’ faces (and a new spring in their step) as we played holiday music through the PA on the way to our final classes!

From all of us at GFSS, we wish you, your friends, and your family a refreshing winter break and an exciting 2025! We can’t wait to see you again soon.

Limləmt (thank you in Nsyilxcən)

~Tom Eccleston, Principal GFSS
