Dear students and families,
Welcome to January at GFSS. We look forward to a year of powerful learning and fun. As a public school our vision is for GFSS to be a joyful haven for curious minds where every student develops resilience and graduates prepared with options for their future. I encourage you check out our website at gfss.sd51.bc.ca to learn more about our values and the team of educators who make GFSS a great place to learn.
Now that we are well into January with the end of semester activities and assessments approaching, it is especially important to keep bringing the light to ourselves and to each other. On January 15, we are initiating “Hygge Week” led by several teachers. Hygge Week will foster well-being. Students and staff will focus on creating comforting, cozy spaces and happy experiences. All of us at GFSS are pleased to support activities that promote positive mental health and well-being. Check out the posters around the school for more information about Hygge Week.
