Dear students and families,

We are excited to share our updated Vision and Mission for GFSS. Grounded in local voices, these statements were co-created through conversations with students, staff, and parents (page 5), ensuring that they reflect the heart of our school community.

Our vision reminds us of the big picture: a thriving community where every student develops their unique gifts with creativity, compassion, and courage. Our mission guides our daily work: nurturing curiosity, empathy, and resilience, and creating a culture of connection, respect, and purposeful action. At GFSS, we look forward to bringing these words to life with your partnership. Read the full statements and our values and beliefs here.

Athletics is awesome at GFSS and are really looking forward to a great season in Volleyball, swimming, and soccer. Thank you to VB coaches Riley Friesen, Danielle Thielmann, Leanne Keys, and David Dunnet. I will give a shout out to our amazing swimming team and coaches Laura Lewis, Amanda Sjoden, and Richard Friesen. Lastly, our boys soccer is full on thanks to coach Jason Hugh. All of GFSS is cheering you on and are grateful for the opportunity to excel at sport with the help of our volunteer coaches. Stay abreast of the action on our athletics Facebook site.
